Planning Estimates — Verify Before You Dose

PoolBalance’s calculators are planning and guidance tools. They apply standard, published pool-chemistry formulas to the values you enter and round results for readability, so a result depends entirely on your input, the accuracy of your pool measurements and test readings, and the assumptions of a simplified model. Nothing on the Service is professional water-treatment advice, a substitute for the instructions and safety information printed on your specific chemical product, or a certification of water safety. Before adding any chemical to a pool, confirm the dose and handling instructions on the product’s own label, dose gradually, and re-test the water with a test kit or strips.

Description of Service

PoolBalance provides free, browser-based calculators and educational resources, including:

• A pool volume calculator for rectangular, round, and oval pools
• A chlorine dosing calculator for liquid, cal-hypo, and dichlor products
• A pH & total-alkalinity balance calculator
• A pump run-time calculator with an optional energy-cost estimate
• A salt calculator for salt-water chlorination systems
• A pool heater running-cost estimator for gas and electric heaters
• Guides, explainers, and reference content on pool care

All tools are provided free of charge. We may modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the Service at any time.

Your Responsibilities

When using the Service, you agree to:

• Use the tools in good faith for planning your own pool maintenance
• Enter accurate measurements and test readings, and check that your inputs are realistic
• Confirm the actual strength/concentration of any chemical product against its own label before dosing

Accuracy and Disclaimers

While we aim for correct formulas, we cannot guarantee that every calculation is error-free or suited to your circumstances. Results are estimates based on standard dosing formulas and the figures you provide, rounded for display, and they do not account for every variable that affects real pool water (temperature, sunlight exposure, existing chemical interactions, and equipment condition among them). PoolBalance makes no warranties, express or implied, including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement.
